Publishing Terms and Conditions
Version 2.0 · Published 2 October 2026
Please read these terms carefully. They explain what happens when you publish a project to the Bric community, what others may do with it, and what you are responsible for.
Publishing is public disclosure
PUBLISHING A PROJECT, OR MAKING IT REMIXABLE, DISCLOSES IT TO OTHERS. PUBLIC DISCLOSURE MAY AFFECT YOUR ABILITY TO OBTAIN OR ENFORCE A PATENT, REGISTERED DESIGN OR OTHER INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHT, AND MAY END ANY CONFIDENTIALITY OR TRADE-SECRET PROTECTION IN WHAT YOU PUBLISH.
If your project contains an invention, a new design or anything you may want to protect, consider getting professional intellectual-property advice, and filing any application you need, before you publish. Once published, a Submission cannot be edited or withdrawn from the people who have already seen or copied it.
1. What these terms cover
These Publishing Terms apply whenever you submit a project to be published in the Bric community (a "Submission"), and to anything that is published as a result (a "Template"). They sit alongside the Bric Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, which also apply. These terms add to the Terms of Use. Where they disagree about publishing, these terms apply — except that nothing here narrows or replaces the sections of the Terms of Use on products, warranties, risk, liability, indemnity and disputes (sections 6 to 14, 21 to 24 and 27), which always apply in full, including to Templates and to anything made from them.
By pressing Publish project you confirm that you have read these terms, that you accept them, and that you are at least 18 years old or the age of majority where you live. If you do not accept them, do not submit anything.
Bric is operated by RGHL Brands Pte. Ltd., trading as Bric Lab. "Bric", "we", "us" and "our" mean that company, together with everyone else included in "Bric" in section 1 of the Terms of Use, and any successor to it. "You" means the person submitting.
The notice headed "Publishing is public disclosure" at the top of these terms forms part of them.
2. Submission, review and publication
Submitting is a request, not a right. Every Submission is reviewed by the Bric team, and publication is entirely at our discretion. We may publish, decline or remove a Submission for any reason or none, without explanation, and we are not obliged to publish anything.
What we review and publish is a snapshot: a copy of the finished pictures, 3D models and descriptions in your project at the moment you submitted it. Your conversation with Bric, your brief, your reference pictures and your settings are not included.
Once submitted, a Submission cannot be edited, by you or by anyone. You may keep working on your own project; nothing you change afterwards will change the Submission or the Template.
We may present a Template as we see fit, including choosing its category, its position in the gallery, and how it is described or displayed, and we may resize, crop or reformat it for display.
3. Remixable and view-only templates
You choose how your Template may be used when you submit it.
- View only: anyone with a Bric account may open, view and explore the Template inside Bric. Bric does not offer a remix or download of it.
- Remixable: anyone with a Bric account may also start their own project from the Template — copying, adapting, modifying and building on your content, and making, using and sharing whatever they create from it, including physical products, for any purpose, commercial or not. They do not need to ask you, credit you (although Bric may show you as the original maker), or pay you.
- You understand that once a Template is remixable, copies and adaptations of it may be made by others and may continue to exist in their projects, and outside Bric, even if the Template is later removed. Bric cannot recall, control or delete what other people have made from it, and is not responsible for how they use it.
- View only limits what Bric offers inside Bric. It is not a technical guarantee: anything that can be seen on a screen can be captured by someone determined to, and Bric is not responsible if a person does so.
4. Your content and the licence you give
You keep whatever ownership you have in your content. By submitting, you grant Bric a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid-up, perpetual and irrevocable licence, with the right to sublicense through multiple tiers, to host, store, copy, reproduce, display, perform, publish, distribute, adapt, modify, reformat, translate and create derivative works of your Submission and Template, in any media now known or later developed, for the purposes of operating, providing, promoting and improving Bric — including showing it in the gallery, in marketing and on social media, with or without your name.
For a remixable Template you also grant every Bric user a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual and irrevocable licence to use, copy, adapt, modify and create derivative works from it, and to make, use, sell and distribute anything derived from it, as described in section 3.
These licences survive if your Template is removed and if you close your account, for copies already made and for anything already derived from it.
To the extent the law allows, you waive, and agree not to assert, any moral rights or similar rights (such as a right to be named as author or to object to changes) against Bric or its users in connection with your Template.
5. Your promises to us
By submitting, you promise that:
- you own your Submission, or have every right, licence and permission needed to submit it and to grant the licences in section 4;
- your Submission, and the use of it by Bric and its users as these terms allow, does not and will not infringe or misappropriate anyone's copyright, trademark, design right, patent, trade secret, right of publicity or privacy, or any other right;
- it does not copy or imitate another person's product, brand, logo, character or artwork without permission;
- it contains no personal information about anyone, and no image of an identifiable person without their consent;
- it is not unlawful, harmful, dangerous, defamatory, obscene, hateful, harassing or misleading, and does not depict a weapon or anything designed to cause injury;
- any product it depicts is not presented as meeting a safety, food-contact, electrical, medical or other standard unless it actually does;
- you have not been paid by, and are not acting for, anyone else in submitting it, unless you have told us.
6. Responsibility for your content
You alone are responsible for your Submission and Template and for any consequences of publishing it. Bric does not check Submissions for infringement or safety, and our decision to publish is not a statement that a Template is original, lawful, safe or fit for any purpose.
Anyone who makes, uses or sells a product from a Template — you, or another user — does so at their own risk and is responsible for checking that it is safe, lawful and fit for purpose.
7. You hold Bric harmless
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Bric from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, losses, liabilities, damages, judgments, settlements, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: your Submission or Template; any claim that it infringes or misappropriates a third party's intellectual property or other rights, including any copyright, trademark or design claim; any breach of your promises in section 5 or of these terms; and anything made, used or sold by anyone from your Template.
We may take control of the defence of any such claim at your expense, and you will cooperate with us. You will not settle a claim that affects Bric without our written agreement.
8. No warranties
BRIC, THE GALLERY, EVERY TEMPLATE AND ALL CREDITS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, SAFETY OR AVAILABILITY. We do not promise that a Template will stay published, be seen by anyone, or be remixed.
9. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Bric will not be liable to you or to anyone else for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data or opportunity, arising out of or relating to publishing, removing or remixing a Template, however caused and even if we were told it was possible.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Bric's total liability to you for everything relating to publishing is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100). This is part of, and not in addition to, the single limit on Bric's total liability in the Terms of Use.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Credits for publishing
When we publish a Template we may add credits to your Bric account. The amount is set by Bric and may change at any time; the amount shown when you submit is what applies at that time, and what is credited is decided when your Template is published. A Submission that is declined earns nothing.
Credits are a promotional allowance for using Bric. They have no cash value, cannot be sold, transferred, exchanged or redeemed for money, and are not property. We may withdraw credits awarded for a Template that breaches these terms, including one we later remove because of an infringement claim, and credits may expire or change in line with Bric's other terms.
11. Removal and complaints
We may remove, hide or stop offering any Template at any time, for any reason, without notice or liability. You may ask us to stop showing your Template in the gallery; we will consider it, but removal will not affect copies or remixes already made (section 3) or the licences in section 4.
If you believe a Template infringes your rights, follow the complaints process in section 18 of the Bric Terms of Use. We may remove the Template while we look into it, and may share your complaint with the maker. Makers who repeatedly infringe may lose the ability to publish or their account.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or with publishing on Bric (including non-contractual disputes or claims), are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Any such dispute or claim is resolved in the way section 27 of the Bric Terms of Use sets out — informal resolution first, then binding individual arbitration, with no class actions and no jury — unless you have opted out of it as that section allows, in which case the state and federal courts located in the State of Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction and you submit to their jurisdiction. Nothing in this section prevents Bric from seeking urgent or injunctive relief in any court, or limits any right you have under the mandatory law of the place where you live.
13. Changes and general terms
We may change these terms at any time. The version number and publication date at the top of this page show which version applies and when it was published; continuing to submit after a change means you accept it. Changes do not reduce the licences you have already given.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect, and the unenforceable part is to be read as closely as possible to its intent. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours. These terms, with Bric's other terms, are the whole agreement between you and Bric about publishing.
